With over 20 years of executive level leadership within the injection molding industry, Matt Cotter leads Lawrence Plastics’ Business Development, Sales, and Strategic Planning initiatives.

Prior to Lawrence Plastics, Matt was the founder of MSC Associates, an automotive engineering and product development firm serving several fortune 500 clients. Upon joining Lawrence Plastics, Matt Cotter led a team of experienced automotive executives and investors in a buyout of Lawrence Plastics. Since FY 2009 Lawrence Plastics’ revenues have increased from $8 M to over $20M. This accomplishment was realized through organic sales and the purchase and turnaround of several troubled automotive suppliers. As well, these efforts earned major quality awards from General Motors Corporation.

Matt Cotter has negotiated over $250,000,000 in automotive contracts specializing in injection molding assemblies. He has performed ‘turnaround management’ services for OEM customers by assisting in ‘assessing, fixing or closing’ financially troubled automotive suppliers. As lead sales executive, Matt Cotter has guided customer product design and DFM studies for clients to optimize material selections for each application.

Matt Cotter is married, has 3 daughters, and resides in Metro Detroit. Matt Cotter is a graduate of Michigan State University and participates in several community initiatives.
